Today was my last day at Track Revenue. It was my first job after graduating from California State University, Stanislaus, and I learned a lot in my 18 months on the software engineering team. I was challenged and there were definitely struggles, but I came out of it a better engineer than I went in.

When I started at Track Revenue I was still living with my parents, and my girlfriend was almost two hours away finishing her senior year at Stan State. Now we live together in San Francisco and I could not be happier.

We are both about to take the plunge into something new. I am going to try working full-time as a DevOps engineer, and she is going to be teaching 4th grade.

While I was at Track Revenue I helped build a lot of our infrastructure and scale the service to handle a lot of new customers. I hope that work keeps Track Revenue on the path it is on today, and I am excited to see where the team takes it from here.

The biggest thing I learned there is that I really love DevOps work, and I recently got the chance to do it full-time. It was a hard decision to leave, but I love building tools and automating things, and this new job lets me do exactly that.
